American Flag Mural

This mural was painted by Beth Leonardis Vaughan in 2018 to celebrate veterans and national pride. It is located next to Antoine's Cookie Shop in downtown Los Gatos.

Bird Mural

This unnamed mural was finished in 2026 by Morgan Bricca. It consists of 4 panels, each displaying a different California native bird species: the California Scrub Tail, American Goldfinch, Spotted Towhee, and House Finch. It is located on the side of Whole Foods in Los Gatos, facing Los Gatos Almaden Road.

Cat Statues at LG Shopping Center

This pair of cat statues, located in the Los Gatos Shopping Center, were installed in 2012 by Jim Zanardi. They are modeled after the original "Leo" and "Leona" statues at the entrance to Poets Canyon.

Cupped Hands

This sculpture is located on the left side of Los Gatos High School (facing the main building from Main Street). It features cupped concrete hands decorated with mosaic tiles.

Dreams

"Dreams" was painted by Morgan Bricca in 2021. The mural was initially unnamed, and "Dreams" was chosen by a contest held by the town. It's a painting of a young woman with her hands resting on a book titled Dreams, watching pedestrians walking by. This mural can be found on Main Street in downtown Los Gatos, on the side of Azuca, a gift shop.

This series of five sculptures was created by Matt Babcock over the course of 4 years. The first was finished in 2021 and the most recent was completed in 2025. Babcock was inspired by the brush strokes of calligraphy. These sculptures are located at 5 different "gateways" into Los Gatos, serving to welcome both visitors and residents. This first one is located on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road near the Highway 17 exit.

Endangered Friends

"Endangered Friends" was dedicated in 1991 by Lisa Bianchi Pfeiffer. It is a metal sculpture featuring various animals including an elephant, blue whale, dolphin, and giraffe. "Endangered Friends" is located on the left side of Los Gatos High School (when facing the main building from Main Street).

Eolian

"Eolian" was dedicated in 1991 by sculptor Eric Ziemelis. It is an abstract sculpture made of stone, steel, and a concrete base. "Eolian" resides in front of the Los Gatos Library.

Flame of Liberty

The memorial features a flame consisting of steel wire frames and stained glass. Within the flame is a Soldier's Cross, which honors soldiers who fall in battle. The flame itself was dedicated by Frank Kocial Morris in 2019, and was inspired by the Statue of Liberty's torch. The monument serves to pay tribute to veterans, members of the military, emergency first responders, the heroes of 9/11, and their families. The Flame of Liberty Memorial is located near the Los Gatos Library.

Forbes Mill Footbridge

Since 1994, the New Museum of Los Gatos (NUMU) has partnered with LGS Recreation to host a camp every year to help young local artists develop their skills. Their paintings are photographed and installed on the bridge. The bridge features new art every year, and connects downtown Los Gatos to old town.

Leo and Leona

These two cat statues, named "Leo" and "Leona," guard the entrance to the Poets Canyon estate. They were completed by Robert Paine in 1922. The estate was originally built by author Charles Erskine Scott Wood and his wife, poet Sara Bard Field, as an artists' retreat, and has been visited by many famous artists and writers including John Steinbeck, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Charlie Chaplin.

Ohlone Village Mural

This mural is located underneath the Main Street bridge, along the Los Gatos Creek Trail. It depicts an Ohlone (an indigenous group native to the Bay Area) village, paying respect to the native tribes.

Portals and Passages

"Portals and Passages," an abstract metal sculpture consisting of rectangles, circles, and semicircles, was created by Marilyn Kukeht, and was installed in 2002. It represents change through both imagination and education. It is located on the Civic Center lawn, in front of the Flame of Liberty Memorial and the LG Library.

Redwood Sculpture

This sculpture was dedicated in 1998 by Paul Wilson. It is a tribute to the late George and Ruth Barati. This concrete and wood sculpture be found near the Los Gatos Library, to the left of the Flame of Liberty Memorial.

Siete Punto Uno

"Siete Punto Uno" is painted on the side of Nina's Taqueria in downtown Los Gatos. It depicts the Jaguar God from mesoamerican cultures: the mural within the mural shows the Jaguar God causing an earthquake. "Siete Punto Uno" (seven point one) was finished in 1990 by John Pugh following the 7.1 magnitude Loma Prieta earthquake. The building it is painted on was the only one on the block left standing after the earthquake.

Wildcat Carving

This statue was carved in 2017 by Steffen Merla from the stump of a giant redwood that died during a 4 year long drought. The Wildcat Carving can be found in front of the Los Gatos High School, facing Main Street.
